Other items in this WishList include a cruise package to Tahiti for $2,500, Callaway FT-3 Fusion drivers for $175, and Sharp Aquos™ tvs for $900.

Here’s the official news release. American Express says they are able to offer these crazy-low prices on items because of their strong relationships with top merchants.

So, make a wish and click!

UPDATE 11/29 Here is the link to a page that describes how this whole thing works . On the mywishlist.com homepage you can find out what items are coming up by day, and the quantity that are on sale at that price. If you click “I want it” and there is inventory remaining, you have 6 minutes to complete your transaction.

The Porsche is coming up on Monday, December 4th, and there are 3 of them. This looks to be the most deeply discounted item, but there are LOTS of other cool things for a great deal. Let me know how this works if you try it and actually purchase something.

Good luck!

    Hey Polly,

I’ve been trying my luck at this sight for weeks now.

The odds are probably about 1:1,000,000,000,000, but what the heck, right?

I’m actually shooting for reasonable things, though. A new house in the Bay Area market for under $500,000; a Microsoft product that works properly for any price; a 451Press: My Space? No, But You’re Getting Warmer! T-Shirt for endless devotion and unpaid commitment.

I mean, even dreams should be realistic, right?

  2. Polly Says:

I only just found out about it through the National Retail Federation, and the official release was dated the 16th, so did they have a soft rollout to test it first? I wonder.

I looked on American Express’s website and the official release does not state odds. On mywishlist.com I’m trying to download the details, hoping to get some idea of the odds on these things. I’ll post an update if/when I get that!

I don’t even dream of t-shirts these days, Tim! I just keep writing! Thanks for stopping by!!
