WHERE can I find the Wii game!! My kids are going crazy saying they want this game for Christmas and I cannot find it anywhere. I repeat ANYWHERE!! My name is on several lists all over town and I haven’t gotten one phone call yet. Every time I hear it’s somewhere, I race over there only to find that it’s gone or they “just sold their last one. Sorry.”

I’m beginning to think that the Wii powers don’t want us to get this game. So, while I’m supposed to be giving out advice at this blog, I greatly need your help so that I can help the other readers. Where is the Wii game!!!

On Black Friday, a friend of mine and I went shopping for all the latest and greatest deals. We started out, of course, on the hunt for the Wii. We stood in three lines for a total of five hours and turned up nothing. Not a thing. Na-da.  What gives? We had money in hand, a desperate look on our faces and still nothing. There was one man that stood in line…oh my gosh…he stood in line with us for some of that three hours and guess what? He did not need nor did he even want a WII. He was standing in line to get a Wii, an X-box and a PlayStation 3 all to sell to desperate folks like myself, on eBay. Now while I’m all for making a deal, turning a profit and being a savvy business person, I do not like manipulation of any kind. Now everyone knows the Wii is selling for $250 or so. This guy was going to sell it to us for $350! All because he knew we wanted it, badly, and he knew he didn’t need it.  What do you do with mean people like that?

I have and I have found it more than once. But, I love a good perfume when  I find one. And find one I have! There is a great scent that I have found by the makers of Bijan called Bijan Black. A co-worker of mine and I went in together and found it at a website that sells fragrances at a discount.

I used to wear a scent called Venezia that was by Laura Biagiotti. That was back in the late 1990’s when Biagiotti was pretty big then. That was a scent that was absolutely romantic with deep, woody undertones with a fresh scent layer on top. So of course after I fall completely in love with, what happens? The scent is discontinued. Yes, discontinued. But hopefully, with my new Bijan Black scent, I won’t have that happen to me. Bijan seems to come out with new scents pretty regularly and they also make scents for men AND women. If you order the package (like I did) you can also get the bath gel and the body lotion all in one with the perfume. This is a good deal because everyone knows that in order for a perfume to have a lasting effect, you have got to layer it, meaning, put on the first scent, then layer it with the second and third scents, etc.

Most stores offer their weekly ads online. Just go to the store’s website and look for a weekly ad link. You can browse page by page and get a close up look at the sale items. Lots of times, I’ll forget and throw out my Target ad and find myself browsing online to see what they have on sale.

You can also check out various websites for printable coupons. Check out Wow-Coupons for tons of printable coupons. You also can find them on some of your favorite products’ websites. Try this site for some great Target coupons!

At some point, usually after I’ve spent a fortune on items to help me get that way, the urge passes and I drop back into my disorganized state. Now that school has started, I find myself looking for cute but functional organizational items.

These storage boxes are not only stylish, but they’re also functional. From $9.99 - $14.99 they’re also a decent deal on storage boxes. They’re cuter than the plastic Rubbermaid ones I have anyway!


I also like these large storage bins. At just $19.99 for a set of 2, they will keep toys, crafts or clutter out of the way. I personally like the pink, but I know my daughter would go for the green!

Have your kids discovered Webkinz yet? Webkinz are cute little stuffed animals that come with a code to unlock a whole world at Webkinz.com. They retail for about $13 or so, but that’s if you’re lucky enough to find them. Lately, it’s been a little easier, but a few months ago, we found ourselves desperate and searching all over for them.

When I could no longer find them at my local gift shop(Webkinz are not sold by mass retailers. They’re only sold by smaller, independent(but sometimes Hallmark) stores) I turned to the internet. Where did I start? ebay of course!

To my shock and dismay, the little critters were going for a whole lot more than I was willing to pay. Next I hit up Froogle. There weren’t many reasonable options there either.

That was a few months ago. Now it seems that at least some Webkinz are easily found. Do a search on Amazon and you’ll find many listed for under $10. Some are even $7.95. Yes, you pay shipping, but it might keep you from driving around town in desperate search of that all important special Webkinz!

I saw the Dalmatian, several of the other dogs, along with the Hippo and quite a few others on sale there, so if you’re searching for a Webkinz, go take a look. You might find the one you’re looking for!
